在英語寫作上，對於文字的操控一定較生澀。使用者可以利用「文口語資料庫」來加強對文字操控的信心。以下是關於本段示範例：

1. our team, including me and few other classmates ：從中文來看，意思是「由我與其他一些同學組成一個規劃小組」。
a.「 a team 」替換成「 a planning team 」。
b.由於功力不夠，無法判斷「 including me and ~ 」和「 including I and ~ 」到底哪一個寫法對？查一查「 me and ~ 」和「 I and ~ 」；結果「 I and ~ 」查不到，而「 me and ~ 」查到「 Me and him don't get along. 」。確定有「 me and ~ 」這個用法。
c.還有，不知道是「 few other classmates 」還是「 a few other classmates 」？查一查「 few 」，查到「很少人相信∼ ＝ few people believes ~ 」， few 後面接人是成立的。
因此原句可改成「 a planning team including me and few other classmates 」。

2.在運用「文口語資料庫」參考與確認後，原句改成： Since I have the honor to hold our first class reunion, our team, a planning team including me and few other classmates, have finally decided how this party will go.

「大考作文第二段」

原文：Firstly, considering that we girls are definitely going to get very wild and noisy, therefore we choose to hold the party at the Cashbox KTV, next to our school rather than a high-class restaurant.

以下是關於本段示範例：

1. Firstly 的中文意思是「首先」、「一開始」之意。「首先」查到「 To start with, ~ ＝ 首先，∼」、「 first up ＝ 首先我們來看；首先是」。「一開始」查到「 At first, ~ ＝ 一開始，∼」。另外發揮聯想力，找「先」玩玩。找到「 Let's start with the big question. ＝ 先從最重要的問題開始」。原本的 Firstly, ~ 可以用所查到的資料替換。
